Parameds will be referred to as such within the enveloping term via their certification as well as previous background, i.e. RN, EMT, LPN/LVN, CMA, CNA. Many with these previous certifications and backgrounds choose to become a Paramed as a way to apply their previous professional training as well as medical experience.

After studying and completing the course from the SPTPC, LLC, you will receive a Paramed completion certification.



Job Outlook:

Usually, paramedical insurance examiners are independent contractors. This classification allows Parameds to work where and when they desire. There is an abundance industry.

Educational Requirements:

To be a Paramedical Examiner, and to positively contribute in our health care industry, minimum education must be certification in phlebotomy, medical assistant, or nursing. Our classes  provides the first National Paramedical Examiner Certification. Our online education program comprises of various subjects both broad and specific.

What are the required certifications and training needed to be a Paramed?

Those who are ready to be a Paramed require previous knowledge of a variety of medical services including but not limited to:

● Phlebotomy

● How to measure and record: Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, and Pulse

● Collecting biological samples like: urine, saliva and hair

● Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG)

● Pulmonary function (evaluation of the respiratory system)

● Cognitive test/senior assessment

● How to record information utilizing an in-depth knowledge of medical terminology while maintaining the applicant’s privacy and adhering to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).

A range of medical experiences can qualify as Paramed prerequisites. Some Parameds are Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN), Medical Technologists (MT), Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT), Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), Certified Phlebotomist Technician (CPT), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and/or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Some Parameds are also Physicians and Physicians Assistants (PAs). To receive a Paramed certification from the SPTPC, LLC you must have valid/current certifications or licenses.
